A modern-traditional Greek Delicatessen with a good selection of Greek products and meals to eat in or take home.

By Vassilios Nicolaos Vitsilogiannis

There aren’t many Greek places to get a decent meal in Dubai and that’s where Wooden Cellar Greek Deli+Cuisine comes galloping in, a stylish Deli in Dubai Sports City. It is located at the Canal Residences by the canal. The view is nice, the food is excellent. It is open from 9 am – 10 pm,  on Mondays it is closed.

The Greek inspired menu works for both modern connoisseurs of taste and ordinary customers who come to enjoy food with family and friends.  The Owner and Chef of the Deli is Katia Efstathiou. Her culinary skills and inspiration make all dishes a state-of-the-art meal.

All Greek dishes are always prepared based on traditional Greek recipes.

Apart from the food a wide range of pastry is on display or custom-made to fit the needs of a particular customer.

Staff are attentive and helpful throughout the day. Always have a smile on their face.

The cost of a meal is average.

On the plus side, the place is buzzing on a Friday and Saturday evenings, so Wooden Cellar certainly makes a welcome addition to the area, both for locals and those in need of a well-deserved Greek cuisine after a long hectic day.
